Finding Parabola Features Using Quadratic Equation.

The quadratic function features are the axis of symmetry, vertex, and x-intercepts, or zeros. First you look for the axis of symmetry, and using that same value for x, you go after the y-coordinate of the vertex. Once you determine these, then you work with Quadratic Formula to find the x-intercepts. This interactive algebraic applet allows you to drag slides for parameters a, b, and c. The applet updates in real time changes in these parameters.
