Comparing and Contrasting Volumes: Pyramids, and Prisms.

If you have a pyramid with a height, and base polygon, it has a third of the volume of a prism having the same height, and a congruent polygon at the base. Formulas look the same, with one exception; we multiply by a third the formula for the prism to get the pyramid's volume. This applet will explore how this volume relationship functions.
